About Julie

Picture
Hailing from the suburbs of Marietta, GA, Julie has spent her time striving to put a creative spin on her life. After high school, she moved to Alabama to attend college as a Graphic Design major. Only one year after residing to Birmingham, Julie sought out a more interesting culture and moved to the corn fields of Indiana to attend Ball State University.

While attending BSU, she traveled to and lived in London, England. During her time abroad, she discovered her true passion in life: Photography. Since first stepping off the airplane, she hasn't been able to put down her camera, and thus, Julie Vansant Photography was born. Upon returning to the USA, she has moved back to her roots of Georgia; where she now lives, works and takes tons of pictures.  Photo Gallery >

10 THINGS YOU MANY NOT KNOW ABOUT ME

1. I LOVE dogs. I have two of my own, a sheltie named Holden and a beagle mix named Zooey. Two can seem like a lot to some, but I would never say no to more, especially a gorgeous German shepherd whom I would name Franny.

2. Reading is my biggest passion besides photography. My favorite book hands down is 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho, but I am a sucker for a young adult series like The Harry Potter Series, The Twilight Saga and The Inheritance Cycle. The quickest way to get my attention is to mention Edward Cullen or Bella Swan.

3. I love to run and stay in shape although I don’t always have time for it.

4. I have a list of things to do before I die comprised of about 50 things that I constantly add to. I love when I'm able to cross things off.

5. I’m terrified of moths, butterflies and anything that ‘flutters’…..and also fish and anything from the ocean.

6. I love the environment and I try to do my best to preserve what we have. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

7. Sarcasm is my second language. I love to say crazy things to people I don’t know and watch their reaction.

8. I love to give gifts, especially to my nieces and nephews.

9. My 3 favorite movies are ‘The Fountain’ by Darren Aronofsky, 'Across the Universe' by Dick Clement & Julie Taymor and '40 Year Old Virgin' by Judd Apatow.

10. I could sit at any Mexican restaurant for hours drinking beer, eating cheese dip and chatting with good friends.
